Denny Old

Worship on Sunday is at 11 a.m. and will be the closing service for the Holiday Club. The church walking group meets on Tuesday evening and leaves the church at 7 p.m. You are welcome to come along and enjoy a gentle walk for about an hour. The Lunch Box will now re-open on Monday, August 25 instead of this Monday as previously arranged, so please note change of date. The Kirk Session meeting will take place in the hall on Wednesday, August 17 at 7.30 p.m.

Westpark Church

Worship on Sunday begins at 10.30 a.m. The service will be led by Ivar Struthers. Kidzone take part at the start of the service then move to the halls to enjoy their own activities. Creche facilities are also available. The Wednesday Welcome is open from 10 a.m. for fellowship over tea or coffee followed by a short service from 11.15-11.45 a.m. Please note that the Open Door is closed for the summer.

Citizens Advice

The bureau is located above Clydesdale Bank at 24 Duke Street and is open today (Thursday), Friday, Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A legal clinic is held every four weeks on Wednesdays by appointment only (4-5 p.m.). Outreach clinics are held at Bridge Crescent Community Flat on Tuesday from 9.30 a.m.-noon and Denny Parish Church Hall on Wednesday from 9.30 a.m.-11.30 a.m. Telephone service (Citizens Advice Direct) available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on (01324) 823118.

Development Group

Denny and District Development Group is holding its annual general meeting on Wednesday, August 20 at 7 p.m. at the Denny Community Education Centre (behind Denny Primary School). All interested residents of Denny and Dunipace are welcome to come along weather this is just to find out more about the group or to join. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served.

Community Discussion

Come along to discuss whether or not you believe sectarianism is an issue in your community. Speaker will be Mark Adams. Takes place at Denny Community Centre on Saturday, August 30 from 11.15 a.m.-2 p.m. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Line Dancing

Next class takes place tomorrow (Friday) in Broompark Centre from 1-2 p.m. Beginners and improvers welcome.

Buggy Group
