A would-be robber demanded cash from shop staff but ended up running from the scene empty-handed.

The incident took place in a store in Paris Avenue, Denny, at around 3.45 p.m. on Sunday.

A man threatened a member of staff before running off in the direction of Little Denny Road.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them.

The man is described as being around 6ft tall and was wearing a light grey plain hooded top, with the hood up. He was also wearing dark grey or navy tracksuit bottoms with grey Converse-style trainers.
