Three men have been charged with theft following separate searches by police.

On January 13, a 48-year-old man was cautioned and charged with reset after officers from the Community Investigation Unit searched his home in Falkirk.

During the search a stolen I-pad was recovered.

On January 16, a quick thinking officers noticed what they thought was stolen property while in a house in the Charlotte Dundas area.

The property had been taken from Inchyra Road.

Two men were charged with theft.

Sergeant Rushford from the CIU said: “I would like to remind people that being in possession of property you know to be stolen is a crime.

“If you are approached by someone wanting to sell you a bargain then the chances are the goods maybe stolen.

“The re-sale of stolen goods is often used as a source of funding for drugs or organised crime. Stolen goods do not come with the same consumer protections or warranties.”
