Investigations into a blaze at a farm near Maddiston last month have ended with six boys being charged.

The youngsters, all aged 13-14, have been accused of wilful fireraising following the incident at Park Hall Farm on June 8,

Police were able to trace several witnesses who were key in identifying those responsible for the fire, which caused significant damage to an outbuilding.

PC Wallace of Grangemouth Police said: “I want to thank the public for their assitance in this matter and those who stepped forward to help the police.

‘‘The damage caused was significant, not to mention the danger posed to others, including emergency service staff who attended the incident.

‘‘We will work closely with partners to ensure that the offending behaviour of these young persons is tackled”.
