Three people have been arrested for firearms and drug offences following a raid on a house in a Falkirk street.
A 28-year-old man was charged in relation to a firearms offence after Forth Valley Police and specialist officers executed warrants in Firs Street on Friday.
A 20-year-old female and a 23-year-old male were charged with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act after heroin with a street value of £5000 was found at an address in the same street.
All three will be appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court tomorrow.
Detective Sergeant Forbes Wilson said: “Police Scotland is committed to removing any weapons, including firearms from our communities and to keeping people safe.
“Also the distribution of controlled drugs at any level will not be tolerated and we will continue to use all resources at our disposal to identify those offenders responsible and remove them from our communities.
“Information provided to police can help recover such illegal items, arrest offenders and bring them to justice.
“Officers will continue to patrol this area and I would encourage any persons with information to speak to an officer in the street, call Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
