Five vehicles were stolen in a five-day crime spree in the Braes.

The cars were all taken overnight while the owners were asleep in their homes.

Some of the houses had apparently been left insecure and this week police warned owners not to leave windows and doors unlocked even during the summer.

A Volvo C30 was taken from outside a house in Stevenson Avenue, Polmont, early on Friday, June 22.

A Ford Mondeo and Mini Cooper were taken from outside a house in Wallace Brae Garden, Reddingmuirhead, around 4.30 a.m. on June 24, while a Mazda 6 was taken overnight on June 26 from Forrester Street, Maddiston.

In the early hours of June 27 a Range Rover Vogue was taken from Union Place, Brightons.

Sergeant Grant Mitchell said: “These vehicles have been taken during the night from outside homes.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101.
