A 40-year-old man walking his dog in woods near Denny was assaulted after becoming involved in an argument with another dog walker.

The incident took place in the wooded area between Stoneywood and Wallace Crescent, Denny, at 7.10 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Police are looking to trace the suspect who is described as white, of stocky build, around 5ft 8” in height, in his late 30s to early 40s, with short grey hair.

He spoke with an Aberdeenshire/Inverness accent and was wearing a red t-shirt and dark trousers at the time.

His dog, described as a tan boxer-type, bit the victim after the assault.
