A driver was taken to hospital after crashing outside the gates to a petro chemical plant.

The 71-year-old has been reported to the procurator fiscal after the incident on Bo’ness Road, Grangemouth on Sunday at 3.50pm.

The silver Vauxhall Meriva was on it’s roof after the single vehicle collision at Inveravon Roundabout and the driver was taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Infirmary where he received treatment for minor head injuries.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “A 71-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a road traffic offence following a single vehicle collision in Grangemouth”
