A terrified receptionist feared she would be late for work this week when some cheeky cows held her hostage.

Rebecca Craig (21) experienced an early morning bovine invasion at boyfriend Blair Petrie’s house in Kingseat Place, Maddiston, when a herd of cows gate-crashed the front garden. She admitted she was too scared to go outside until they left the premises.

Rebecca, who captured the drama on her mobile phone, said: “I was pottering about making my breakfast, then I looked out to see three cows in the front garden.

“They were wandering up and down for ages, strolling past the window and peering in. I was thinking, if these cows don’t get moved, how am I going to get out of my door to go to my work?

“One of my friends was like ‘it’s just cows’, but there were about 20 of them by this time.”

Thankfully a local farmer, who had been called by a neighbour, was soon on hand to lead his cows back to their field without any damage being caused and Rebecca was able to set off for her work.

Asked if she wanted to give more details about the incident, Rebecca said she did not want to milk it.
