Dishing up a tasty treat was St Mungo’s High School pupil Eve Cattanach.
The 12-year-old beat budding chefs from across Scotland with her ‘Scotch Bonnet’ recipe for a Commonwealth Burger.
She had reached the final three and yesterday was at the Royal Highland Show to take part in the cook off at the Quality Meat Scotland stand.
The judges said all three were delicious but said Eve’s effort was “delicious, healthy and very Scottish”.
Now burgers made from her recipe will be on sale in Scotch Butcher Club members shops across the country in the run up to the Commonwealth Games.
Eve, of Shieldhill, also won a £250 voucher for her school to spend on quality Scotch beef, lamb and pork.
