There are three age groups – the under-ones, under-twos and under-fours categories.

Up for grabs in each category is a large, framed wall portrait of your child and two personalised calendars worth £200, high street vouchers and a £20 voucher for Kicks for Kids in

Princes Street, Falkirk which sells stylish clothing for children.

All you need to do is take your child along to Bill Miller Photographers in Vicar Street, Falkirk, for a portrait sitting. For just £19.99 you will get one 8x6 colour print of your little one and free entry to the Bonny Bairns 2013 competition.

Sittings are taking place during November and December and you can book a slot by calling the studio on (01324) 624708.

Once all the entrants are received The Falkirk Herald will print them before a panel of judges chooses the winners.

Photographer Hunter Miller said the competition was one of the highlights of his year. He said: “We always look forward to this time of year and it’s not just because it’s Christmas – it means the Bonny Bairns competition is on.

“It’s such a great privilege and wonderful experience capturing the smiles of all the little ones who have brilliant fun getting their photo taken.

“The competition has been a tradition for years in the Falkirk area and is something we look forward to. I’m sure we’ll see loads of Christmas crackers again this year.”
