The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland will visit Falkirk next week.
Rt Rev. Lorna Hood will spend nine days meeting ministers, church congregations and a cross-section of the community during her time in the presbytery.
As well as taking part in public worship at Larbert Old Church this Sunday morning, she will attend services at Grangemouth Abbotsgrange Church on Sunday, January 26, and in the evening Bo’ness St Andrew’s Church.
Mrs Hood, who took up her post last May, will also visit Denny Primary and Larbert High Schools, along with Ineos Grangemouth, Strathcarron Hospice, Forth Valley Royal, Falkirk Foodbank and Polmont Young Offenders Institution. She will also attend the Falkirk v Dundee football match.
The moderator’s visit usually occurs only once every 10 years.
