With less than three weeks to go, excitement is building for Kincardine Gala Day.
The annual event will take place on Saturday, June 28, after a week of fun and family-friendly games and competitions.
Paula Boyle, vice-secretary of the gala day committee, said: “This is the calm before the storm and in a few weeks we’ll be running around a lot making sure everything is ready.
“We are looking forward to a lot of community involvement this year.”
The celebrations begin on Saturday, June 22, with a gala dance in the Masonic Hall followed by a pet show, gala races and quiz night on Sunday.
Hockey and football tournaments for primary and secondary children will take place midweek, before adults have a chance to shine on Friday with fancy dress and wheelbarrow races.
Gala Day will begin with the procession moving off from The Shore Green at 12.15 p.m., followed by the crowning at 1 p.m. in Burnside Park where Gwen Gardner will crown Queen Elect Taylor Fawcett.
Last year’s Queen and Herald will also perform their last duties by judging the decorated shops competition.
