Falkirk High School pupils sang their hearts out to end the year on a high note with their version of The X Factor.
The Xmas Factor took place at the school on the last day of term before the Christmas holidays.
The annual show attracted 12 competitors from first to sixth year who performed in front of staff and pupils.
The 2013 event was the first time the competition has had a judging panel, ably manned by teachers John Lafferty (PE), Douglas Boyle (Modern Studies), Deborah Simmons (Maths) and Mariot Dallas (Music).
Second year pupil Hannah Gill won the judges’ hearts with a rendition of Lily Allen’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ to claim the Xmas Factor title for 2013.
Second place was awarded to duet Leon Mayes (S1) and Sophie MacDonald (S5) after their performance of ‘Read All About It’.
Sixth year’s Calvin McCarron took third place in the competition after impressing the judges by singing One Republic’s ‘Counting Stars’.
Supporting the acts was Dylan Gray (S5) who hosted the event and sound technician Scott Neill (S5).
Organiser Jayne McGarragle said: “It was an excellent event, enjoyed by staff and pupils.
“The acts sang a good range of songs, and it was a really nice way to end the term.”
