Falkirk and District Art
Club has just enjoyed its
most successful exhibition to date.

Members booked space in the High Street’s Howgate shopping mall to display their work – and the crowds flocked in to enjoy the show.

As well as taking the chance to buy paintings at discount prices, more than 600 also voted for their favourite piece in the exhibition – first and second prizes going to Tom Lafferty for ‘Black Labrador’ and ‘Springer Spaniel on Canal Bank’ respectively with third place taken by Galyna Lee for ‘Monarch of the Glen’.

The club, which is now about to start its 50th year, also received a lot of interest from members of the public thinking about joining them at the Art Share classes in Erskine Parish Church Hall. They will have the club syllabus sent to them shortly.
