The old and the new got together at a Braes primary to celebrate its 100th year.

Centenary celebrations brought generations together at California Primary school, with the highlight a tree planting ceremony to mark the milestone year. The tree was donated by Klondyke Garden Centre.

Old photographs of past pupils and school events were displayed as well as the story of the school’s history.

Each of the classes learned new songs to sing about the decades they were researching to the guest list, which was made up of former pupils and local dignitaries.

Archivists from Callendar House were also there showing pupils old school logbooks from bygone eras making it a memorable occasion.

Children were also given a gala bag full of goodies.
