A Falkirk music teacher has dedicated her first book to her tragic grandson who died shortly after birth.

Zoe Cox began working on the book when her son’s wife was pregnant, thinking she would be able to share the stories with her first grandchild.

She said: “Lucas was born far too early and only lived for five minutes. I decided at that point that I didn’t want to write any more for the book, but that I wanted to have it published as it was.

“He would have turned two last week, so this is a lovely time for the book to come out.”

Zoe, who lives in Falkirk with husband Graham, only started writing after being given a writing course for her 50th birthday. The self published book, available to buy on Amazon, is called ‘Rainbow in my Room’.

Church organist Zoe added: “I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out.

“My son and his wife live in Lytham St Annes so I’ve posted them a copy and they will hopefully get a nice surprise when they see it.”
