A Falkirk girl has shown she’s the cream of the crop by beating off stiff competition to win a place on Graham’s The Family Dairy’s 2015 Children’s Tasting Panel.

Nine-year-old Charlotte McGregor will take up the Guardian of Gold position on the panel.

The application process, which was launched in January, originally called for seven places, but due to the unprecedented level of applications received this year, the dairy at Airthrey Kerse Farm in Bridge of Allan has created a further six panel positions.

Along with their parents, the new panel tasters will receive a special tour of the working dairy on April 25 as well as take part in the all-important tasting of new products such as the nostalgic ice cream collection, which has just been unveiled.

Graham’s Children’s Tasting Panel was launched in 2013 in a bid to educate youngsters about food and life on a working dairy farm.

Carol Graham, Graham’s The Family Dairy’s marketing director, said: “We’re delighted by the fantastic response to this year’s Children’s Tasting Panel and look forward to welcoming our new panel tasters.”
