Spirit Within

Would you like to connect with your spiritual side and meet like-minded open individuals? Bowling Club

The presentation Dance on Saturday is 7 p.m. for 7.30 p.m. The band is Tizer Chiefs and only a few tickets remain. Tickets can be paid to Jim on Thursday, Friday or on the night. The 21 club will almost certainly be won on Sunday. Check your numbers and also ensure your payments are up to date. Loads of get well messages to Jim Marshall who is in hospital after a nasty fall. The Sportsman’s dinner on Friday, October 31 is 7 p.m. for 7.30 p.m. and is sold out.

E-greetings Class

Are you fed up of spending a fortune on sending cards abroad? If so, join our class on E-greetings and labels. Learn how to create your own special greetings for friends and family, as well as how to email them to those you care for at the Adult Community Forum. Starting on Friday, November 14 from 1 to 3.30 p.m for five weeks, it takes place in Camelon Community Centre. Bethany Hall

Koffee Time meets today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. for refreshment and chat. Koffee Time Extra meets at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 20. You are very welcome to either or both of these events. On Sunday, October 19 we meet for communion at 10.30 a.m., for refreshments at 11.30 a.m. and for Bible Teaching at 11.50 a.m. when the expected speaker is Anderson Munro. On Tuesday, October 21 we meet in Carmuirs Primary for the Lunch Club special - a craft session has been arranged. That evening John Hepburn will lead our Bible Study on Session Six in 2 Timothy. Remember Bethany is a place where you are always assured a welcome. We are easy to find - on Baird Street just behind the Sheriff Court.

Keep Fit

A combined aerobics and toning class takes place every Wednesday in the Mariner Centre from 7.45 to 9 p.m. For further information call Sheila opn (01324) 634192 or 07859933877.

Camera Club

Meets ever Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Scotia Room in Camelon Education Centre. All welcome.

Juniors Club

There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m. On Tuesdays there are light refreshments for a small donation. Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is vocalist Kay Francis from 9.15 p.m.

Mariner Bar

Entertainment on Saturday is by Fraser’s Disco. On Saturday, October 25 there will be a Halloween and famous singers night with prizes for best dressed. There are pool and domino tournaments every Sunday from 3.30 p.m. with admission £1.

Treasure Chest

This week’s winner of the weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors was Maureen McMahon who won the consolation prize of £50 with the ticket sold in Tesco Camelon. Next week’s jackpot will be £850.

Ochiltree Club

Entertainment on Saturday is Julie Ann Alison.

Yorkhill Fundraiser

There will be a fundraising children’s Christmas Party for Yorkhill Hospital in the Ochiltree Social Club on Sunday, December 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. Entrance is £5 per child payable at door. Please bring a small present with your child’s name to be handed over by Santa Claus. Admission includes food, party games, prizes and raffles. One the same day and again in the social club, there will be a Chrismas Fair in aid of Yorkhill from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be a mixture of tables inlcuding DVDs, toys, skincare products, Christmas items and lots more.

Tamfourhill Centre

In the Tamfourhill Centre on Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. there is a kickbox cardio fitness class; Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. drop in for a chat, 5.30 to 7 p.m. there is a creative industries workshop for nine to 16 years, call 07858266591, Metafit from 8 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday there is youth club for P1-P3 from 5.45 to 6.45 p.m. and P4-P7 from 7 to 8.30 p.m.; Thursday the senior youth club for S1 onwards is from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.; Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. there is Fitsteps; Saturday there is Enjoy-a-Ball for three-four year olds from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m. and five to nine year olds from 10.30 to 11.30 a.m.

Tai Chi

Community Cafe

This venture in Camelon Community Centre is a non-profit making café and is open to the public Monday–Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fruit Barra

This is held every Tuesday from 10 a.m.–noon in Camelon Community Centre. Come along and get fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. We accept Healthy Start Vouchers and there will be information on healthy eating, free recipe cards and tasting sessions.

Youth Clubs

These take place on Monday for P1–P2 from 5.30 to 6.45 p.m.; Monday S1-S4 from 7 to 9 p.m.; Tuesday for S5 and over from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.; Thursday for P3-P5 from 6.30 to 8 p.m.; and Friday for P6-S1 from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.
