ILA Cafe

Thanks to everyone who came along to the October Independent Living Cafe in Forth Valley Sensory Centre. The ILA Cafe is open to anyone with an assessed need from social work and anyone with an interest in disability. The next cafe is today (Thursday), again in the Sensory Centre, from 12.30-2 p.m. Come along and enjoy a light lunch, meet old friends and make new ones. Due to rising costs we are having to charge £2 per lunch. For further information please contact Elma on (01324) 625097. We are now able to help anyone who might have transport problems. Bethany Hall

Koffee Time meets from 10 a.m.-noon today (Thursday). You are welcome to come and join us when you are free. We had been expectating a visit from Garry from Motherwell but he has had to put his visit back, so Thought for the Day will be brought to us by Roy. On Saturday at 7 p.m. we are looking forward to a visit from the Benhar Ladies Group for our Saturday Evening Rally. On Sunday at 11.50 a.m. John Gillespie from Ayr will bring us the Bible teaching. On Tuesday, November 11 we have the Lunch Club for P4-7 pupils in Carmuirs Primary with Dave and that evening the Bible Teaching in Bethany at 7.30 p.m. will be given by Daniel Brown a good friend of Bethany Hall folk.

Tai Chi

Relax, have fun and improve your health and wellbeing. Keep Fit

Camera Club

Meets every Friday from 7-9 p.m. in Camelon Education Centre’s Scotia Room. All welcome.

Juniors Club

There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from around 7.30 p.m. At Tuesday’s session refreshments are available for a small donation.

Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is vocalist Frankie B with the show starting at 9.15 p.m. On Sunday, November 30 from 2-6 p.m. female vocalist Carol Paris will be providing the entertainment. Christmas Eve entertainment is from 7-11 p.m. with vocalist Joanne Bence and a disco. On Hogmanay entertainment is being provided by vocalist Degsy. Show begins at 9 p.m. and runs till late. Tickets, costing £5, are available now from the bar.

Mariner Bar

Entertainment on Saturday is Fraser’s Disco. There are pool and domino tournaments every Sunday from 3.30 p.m. Admission £1.

Treasure Chest

The weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors was won by Sandra Harris who took the £50 consolation prize with the ticket bought in Tesco Camelon. This week’s jackpot is £950.

Ochiltree Club

Entertainment on Saturday is by Craig Eadie.

Remembrance Sunday

There will be a short service at the Anchor Memorial, Easter Carmuirs at 11.15 a.m. to remember the Royal Merchant and Allied Naval Forces, following the service at the Cenotaph. All welcome.

Yorkhill Fundraiser

There will be a fundraising children’s Christmas party at the Ochiltree Social Club on Sunday, December 7 from 3-6 p.m. Not tickets required, £5 payable at the door. Please bring a small gift with your child’s name on it to be presented by Santa. Contact Isabel on (01324) 634689. On the same day there will be a Christmas Fair from 1-4 p.m. with lots of stalls.

Bowling Club

The 21 club could be won on Sunday. Please check your numbers and ensure your payments are up to date. Fantastic feed back from last weeks Sportsman’s Dinner. A special thanks to Suzanne and her staff for a fantastic meal. Ian Stewart and John Burt are almost finished with the work outside the club. We are moving inside the club soon and people handy with emulsion brushes and rollers would be very welcome.

DASH

Do you suffer from anxiety or depression? This is a group of people who meet in a friendly, supportive and confidential environment. There is a Ladies group every Wednesday and Friday from 1-3 p.m. in Camelon Community Project, Abercrombie Street. There is also a Men only group every first and third Thursday from 2-4 p.m. in the Dawson Centre, David’s Loan, Bainsford, as well as a Mixed group every Monday from 7-9 p.m., also in the Dawson Centre.
