Metafit Class

ILA Cafe

Thanks to everyone who came along to the May Independent Living Cafe in the Sensory Centre. The ILA Cafe is open to anyone with an assessed need from social work and anyone with an interest in disability. The next ILA Cafe is today (Thursday) again in the Forth Valley Sensory Centre from 12.30-2 p.m. when we will be learning some signing which had to be postponed from last month. Come along and enjoy a light lunch, meet old friends and make new ones. Due to rising costs, we are having to charge £2 per lunch. For further information contact Elma on (01324) 625097. Tai Chi

Relax, have fun and improve your health & wellbeing with Tai Chi Qigong. This is a gentle exercise system that improves flexibility, balance and feelings of wellbeing, based on the same principles as traditional Chinese medicine. Meet new people in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. All you need is comfortable clothing and flat shoes. Keep Fit

Camera Club

Meets every Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the Scotia Room, Camelon Education Centre. All welcome.

Mariner Bar

Entertainment on Saturday is by Fraser’s Disco. There are domino and pool competitions every Sunday from 3.30 p.m. Entry is £1 per person.

Boot Sale

Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Falkirk Stadium there will be a car boot sale. Pitches are £6 each. Proceeds to benefit Falkirk FC. For further information call Jim Campbell on (01324) 873498.

Juniors Club

Tomorrow (Friday) entertainment is vocalist Gordon Wilson. There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m. On Tuesdays there are refreshments provided for a small donation.

Treasure Chest

The weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors was won by Alan Blackhall, who won the consolation prize of £50 with the ticket purchased at Tesco Camelon. Next week’s jackpot will be £550.

Ochiltree Club

Entertainment on Saturday is provided by Combination.

Parish Church

Come along and join the Sunday service at 11 a.m. YCP (Young Camelon Parish), a youth group for children aged 10 years old upwards will meet on Sunday at 6.30-8 p.m. in Dorrator Road halls. Come along and see if it’s for you, new members welcome. Allsorts Toddlers group meet on Monday and Wednesdays 9.30-11.30 a.m. in Brown Street hall. We have a wide variety of toys and equipment to suit from new-born to pre-school. We aim to provide a welcoming environment for babies through to pre-school children and their mums/dads/grannies/grandads, any adult who looks after the child, to spend time playing and socialising.

Bethany Hall

Koffee Time meets from 10 a.m. till noon today (Thursday). You are very welcome to join us. Our Thought for the Day this week tackles some impossibilities that have a Camelon and Canadian connection. We are hoping shortly to have news of a bus run planned for mid-September. On Sunday the meetings are planned to follow our normal pattern and Allan Bowman brings bible teaching at 11.50 a.m. On Tuesday there will be no after-school club but in the evening at the prayer and bible teaching meets, when we expect Derek Malcolm to be with us.

Spirit within

Would you like to develop your spiritual side and meet like-minded open individuals? Then come along to our development group every Wednesday in the Ochiltree Club from 7.30-9.30 p.m. Subjects covered include mediumship, psychic work, healing, positive thinking and guided meditations. Fruit Barra

Takes place every Tuesday 10 a.m.-noon in Camelon Community Centre. Come along every Tuesday and get fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. We accept Healthy Start vouchers and there will be information on healthy eating, free recipe cards and tasting sessions.

Community Café

The cafe is open Monday to Friday 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and Saturday (term time only) in Community Centre. All welcome.

Credit Union

Savings are safe with Falkirk District Credit Union and low cost loans are available once regular savings established. Anyone who lives or works in the area within the boundary of Falkirk Council can join, junior savers welcome. Braveheart Walks

The June monthly walk will take place at the wonderful Loch Katrine, on Tuesday, June 24 at 1.30 p.m. Transport will be provided there and back; information regarding this will follow in next weeks paper under Braveheart Walks. We hope to see you all there to take in some beautiful scenery around the loch.
