Bingo Night

Camelon Thistle 2000s are holding a fundraising bingo night on Friday, March 6 ih the Ochiltree Club, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are £1 and 50p for children. Books are £1 each. All welcome and money raised will go towards a football tournament.

ILA Cafe

Thanks to everyone who came along to the February Independent Living Association Cafe in the Sensory Centre. It is open to anyone with an assessed need by social work and to anyone with an interest in disability. The next cafe is on Thursday. March 5 in the Sensory Centre 12.30-2 p.m. Come along and enjoy a light lunch, meet old friends or make new ones. Due to rising costs we are having to charge £2 per lunch. Metafit Class

Takes place every Tuesday at Tamfourhill Community centre from 8 p.m. All welcome, no need to book. For more info call 07739718361.

Keep Fit

A combined aerobics and toning class is held every Wednesday in the Mariner Sports Centre, from 7.45-9 p.m. For further information call Sheila on (01324) 634192 or 07859933877.

Camera Club

Meets every Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the Scotia Room, Camelon Education Centre. All welcome.

Juniors Club

There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m. At Tuesday’s session refreshments are available for a small donation. Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is male vocalist Frankie B with the show starting at around 9.15 p.m.

Mariner Bar

Entertainment on Saturday is provided by Alistair’s Disco. There are pool and domino tournaments every Sunday from 2.30 p.m. Admission £1.

Treasure Chest

The weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors FC saw Michelle Bell take the £50 consolation prize. Next week’s jackpot will be £800.

Community Centre

Events at the Tamfourhill Centre include: Monday – Kay Klass dance at 4 p.m. and 4.45 p.m., Kickox cardio fitness from 7-8 p.m.; Tuesday – Parent and toddler group from noon-2 p.m., Drop-in for coffee and chat between 1-3 p.m., Creative industries workshop from 5.30-7 p.m.; Wednesday – Junior youth club for P1-P3 at 5.45 p.m., P4-P7 at 7 p.m.; Thursday – Senior youth club for S1 onwards at 6.30 p.m.; Saturday – Enjoy-a-Ball at 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.; and Sunday – Jujitsu at 3.30 p.m.

Entertainment on Saturday is vocalist Sol Christie.

Roman Bar

Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is vocalist Carla with the show starting at 9.30 p.m.

Prize Bingo

Carmuirs Primary is holding this fundraiser in Camelon Juniors Social Club on Thursday, March 19 from 7.30 p.m. Admission £1.

Bethany Hall

Koffee Time meets today (Thursday) from 10 a.m. till noon. As well as a warm welcome and a cuppa the Thought for the Day this week invites you to ‘Go West’. On Sunday our meetings will follow their usual pattern and the expected speaker for our Bible Teaching at 11.50 a.m. is Jim Pender. A group from Bethany plan to visit Summerford House for a short service with the residents at 3 p.m. On Monday we have a date at Wallside Grange Care Home. On Tuesday, March 3 Dave will be leading the Carmuirs Primary Lunch Club - thoughts are beginning to turn towards Easter. The club is open to pupils from P4-P7. We meet in Bethany on Tuesday evening at 7.30 p.m. for prayer and Bible Teaching. This week the study is the seventh in Proverbs and will be led by Roy Gray.

Bowling Club

Please check your numbers in the 21 club as quite a few people are near the winning line. Also check your payments are up to date. Loads of work being done inside the club in preparation for our opening on Sunday, April 12. Please remember all fees must be paid by March 31. New members of any age are very welcome at the club, we have plenty bowls and shoes for anyone who fancies a go.
