The area’s Citizens Advice Bureaux will be carrying out a recruitment drive as part of Volunteers Week.

Staff from CAB offices in Denny, Grangemouth and Bo’ness are manning an information stall in the town centre next week to encourage more people to volunteer with the organisation.

There will be information about what volunteers do, how they are trained, and what advantages there are to those who sign up.

Margaret Gray, manager at CAB Denny, said: “People volunteer for many reasons, whether it is to keep themselves occupied, seek new skills to make themselves more employable or simply to give something back to society.

“Every one of our volunteers is a success story.

“They are not only helping their fellow citizens but opening all sorts of doors for themselves.’’

The drop-in information sessions will run Monday to Friday next week from 10 a.m. to noon each day at 42 High Street, Falkirk.
