Have your say

Here’s your chance to get involved with a prestigious event.

A new category in The Falkirk Herald Business Awards 2011 is Outstanding Restaurant of the Year.

Now we want readers to tell us who they think deserves to win by completing the form in this week’s paper

All you need to do is nominate your favourite restaurant. Then the three with the most votes will go through the judging process and be in with a chance to win the top prize.

This is the fourth year that the awards have been run and once again are sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Colin Hume, editor of The Falkirk Herald, said: “We’ve run three very successful events and this year decided that it was time to recognise the efforts of the hospitality industry.

“However, we always thought it would be good if readers could get involved more and that’s why we think it is only right that they have an opportunity to nominate their favourite restaurants. After all, they are the paying customers and know where they are getting value for money, as well as excellent service.

“We look forward to receiving lots of entries from across the district showing the diversity of eating places there are in and around Falkirk.”

Other categories recognise green businesses, the biggest and the smallest firms, those who provide excellent training for staff and those with innovative ideas, but all with one thing in common – they shine in their field.

All the awards, including the Outstanding Restaurant of the Year, will be presented at a gala dinner on Thursday, November 3, in the Macdonald Inchyra Grange Hotel, Polmont.

The closing date for entries is August 31 – so if you want to join us for this special occasion, don’t delay in putting together your entry.
