Laurieston vet gets right to the point

MAX the labrador's new best friend is vet Robert Wallace ... despite him giving the pooch the needle.

The seven-year-old family pet was suffering from painful arthritis in his hips and elbows but thanks to acupuncture treatment at the Ashbank Veterinary Clinic in Laurieston, Max has been given a new lease

of life.

Jean Crawford, who lives in Bonnybridge, is amazed at the change in himsince he started the holistic therapy where needles are inserted

into specific points in the body

.

She said: "I would have tried anything to make him feel better. He gets very stiff when it is cold and damp, but this has definitely made

a difference.

"I'd heard about acupuncture and was willing to give it a try. Our

vet referred us to Mr Wallace and we've been coming since last May. It really helps Max. He's a lovable pet and we didn't like to see him

suffering."
