One of Scotland’s leading hauliers has announced a £2 million investment in equipment.

It includes the arrival last month of four new MAN TGS tractor units at Ian Craig Haulage’s Larbert depot, with another four being delivered later in the year.

The trucks will be used to transport construction materials throughout Scotland and England.

Director Kevin Craig said: “Transporting bricks and timber has always been a challenge and with the recent upturn in the building and construction industry, we knew we needed to invest in vehicles we could truly rely on.

“We’ve been working with MAN for four years now and have been impressed with every vehicle we’ve taken.”

The company, which operates 68 vehicles, said this new investment takes the number of MAN trucks in their fleet to more than half.

Established in 1972, the family-run business, launched with just one second-hand lorry, has grown into one of Scotland’s leading hauliers of brick and block products.
