A new tenant should soon have keep fit enthusiasts sprinting to Callendar Square.
Xercise4Less, recently named Budget Gym of the Year for the second time, plans to open shortly within the shopping centre.
The company currently has 17 facilities in England and Falkirk is its first venture north of the border. However, it hopes to have 100 gyms across the UK within three years taking its staff numbers to 4000.
It recently opened a gym in a Tesco store in Stockton.
Its no-frills operation boasts some 400 pieces of top-of-the-range equipment which it says is double its nearest rivals.
In September last year Xercise4Less received a £5 million boost from The Business Growth Fund, an independent investment company dealing with small and medium enterprises.
Founder and CEO Jon Wright said: “With these fantastic partnerships we are very excited for the future of the business and seeing the Xercise4Less concept go from strength to strength. We believe that a budget gym should not offer a budget experience.”
