A financial boost will help a Bonnybridge firm get to the root of underground problems far quicker.
Smart Utilities Scotland was set up in 2013 by Robbie Smart and Matthew McInally. It installs, repairs, replaces and maintains underground utility equipment and networks throughout Central Scotland.
It has just received a £2445 grant from the Scottish Digital Voucher Scheme which will part-finance the purchase of vital software to reduce time spent on job planning and accounts.
This is the second grant the company has secured with the help of Business Gateway; last year it was awarded £3000 from Falkirk Council to buy a CCTV inspection camera.
Caroline Brown, Business Gateway adviser, said: “Smart Utilities is a Falkirk start-up success story, having grown tremendously in its first year of operation.
“By working with a consultant through our Expert Help programme, the company was able to identify software that will scale with the business as it continues to grow.”
