First Minister praises Camelon bus firm

Alex Salmond visited Alexander Dennis Limited in Camelon to launch a report on Scotland’s economic strengths and the case for independence today.

The First Minister and deputy Nicola Sturgeon told the workforce at Britain’s biggest bus builders they are an “outstanding example” of what could be achieved if Scotland was in charge of its own industrial and economic destiny.

He said: “Scotland can’t afford to have Westminster set the economic temperature. The success of ADL is an outstanding example of our economic streangth and shows Scotland has what it takes to be a successful independent country.”

In his up-beat message Mr Salmond claimed: “Our message is we have the tools, we have huge potential, but we have to believe. If we have control we can use the economic levers to invest more in the future of Scotland.
