A well known children’s clothes store has celebrated a decade in business by saying it with flowers.

Piccolina Childrenswear in Falkirk’s Wooer Street is 10 years old this week and sisters Elaine Grant and Shona McCall, who own the business, wanted to thank one of their most loyal customers, Helen Lawson, a foster carer from the town.

Helen (69), has fostered “a few hundred” children over the past 38 years, as well having six children of her own, 10 grandchildren and one great grand child, and is in the shop every week to put money by for gifts for all the young ones in her family.

She said: “The shop does really nice clothes and Elaine and Shona are two lovely lassies. They’ll phone me up and put things by for me. They have a great service.”

Elaine said: “Helen is a very special woman and we wanted to say thank you to her for her loyal custom over the past 10 years.”

As part of their birthday celebrations the shop is offering 20 per cent off on Friday and Saturday this weekend to say thank you to all their customers.
