A trio of workers received awards for their efforts in delivering high standards of care to elderly and vulnerable people.

Nicola Taylor and Danielle Batchelor, who work at Airthrey Care Home in Airth, and Audrey Moyes, from Ivybank House Care Home in Polmont, received their accolades at Meallmore Ltd’s annual awards ceremony.

The company, one of Scotland’s leading provider of nursing and residential care, held the event for the fourth time with 11 categories.

Nicola was named Nurse of the Year, Danielle won Senior Carer and Audrey won Carer of the Year, which was voted for by residents, their families and staff, for going above and beyond the call of duty.

A delighted Danielle said: “It’s a lovely surprise.”

Gerry Hennessey, managing director, said: “I am very proud of them for winning these awards. It’s important that we take time to recognise our employees’ outstanding efforts and ongoing commitment to residents. These awards are a great way to identify these individuals and say thank you.”
