A new energy supplier is offering householders the chance to save on bills – and creating jobs.

Utilita Energy, which specialises in smart meter technology, has moved into the Falkirk district.

It currently has a five-strong local sales team, but is looking to increase this to 25 by the end of the year.

They will offer advice to residents who want to change their energy supplier and save money with a smart meter.

Bill Bullen, Utilita
managing director, said: “Moving into Falkirk is the latest step in our expansion and we’re delighted to now be able to provide local people with the very best customer service and a realistic alternative to the big six energy firms.

“In addition to helping residents save money on their energy bills, we’re also committed to providing employment opportunities for the town and will be looking to recruit a number of people before the end of this year.”

The company also hosts technology workshops and events across the UK, raising awareness about energy and the part technology can play in today’s market.
