Residents in Larbert are being advised that their water supply will be temporarily disrupted on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning as engineers repair a burst water main in the town’s Main Street.

The work will be carried out from about 10 p.m. on March 11 until around 6 a.m. the following morning.

This will result in the temporary loss of normal water supplies to about 200 properties in Larbert, including Main Street, Dundarroch Street, East Crawford Street, Russell Hill Court, Sir John Graham Court, St George’s Court, Falkirk Road, Stirling Road and Union Place.

Residents are also likely to experience discoloured water when normal supplies are restored.

In addition, about 5500 properties in Stenhousemuir and Carronshore are also expected to be affected by low water pressure and discoloured water during our work.

Households which who do experience discoloured water are advised by Scottish Water to run the cold water tap until the water runs clear.
