A Polmont business is bucking the recession as it approaches its fifth year of growth.

Fulcrum Insured Employee Benefits Limited started as a sole trader in 2008 but has grown to four staff and a bigger office space.

The benefits broker, which specialises on private medical and dental plans, income protections, death in service and business travel insurance, has thrived due to its ability to save employers cash without compromising on cover.

Malcolm Brebner, pictured, founded Fulcrum after working in the insurance sector for 20 years. He said: “Good employers will always want to offer excellent benefits to attract and motivate their talent. Insurance protection forms a big part of this and decision makers are realising they need to be better informed about design, funding options and tax efficiency.”
