The top businesses in the area will soon be vying for the most prestigious – and sought-after – awards in town.
Back by popular demand, entries are now open for the Falkirk Herald Business Awards 2014.
Over the years the awards have become synonymous with putting firms, large and small, in the spotlight for the successful way they are run and achievements made.
For 2014 there have been slight changes made – there are now separate categories for Best Social Enterprise and Best Business in the Community, as well as a new class for Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
But what hasn’t changed is the desire to highlight all that is best about the business community in the Falkirk Council area.
Falkirk Herald editor Colin Hume said: “Every year the judges never cease to be amazed at the diversity of the businesses entering The Falkirk Herald awards and the innovative products and services they deliver.
“It is always a privilege to sit on the judging panel to see and hear the presentations from the shortlisted candidates.
‘‘However, having to decide who to give the award to can take a great deal of deliberation because of the very high-standard and variety of the entrants.
“At The Falkirk Herald we tell our readers it is ‘Your paper, your voice’ and that is exactly why we believe it is important that we run these annual awards.
‘‘All of the businesses who enter have a vital role to play in the area’s economy and it is important their efforts are recognised.”
Once again, the awards ceremony takes place at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa and on Thursday, November 20 around 300 people will gather to celebrate the business success stories of 2014.
On the evening, one of the category winners will be selected as the Outstanding Achievement of the Year.
Entry forms can be obtained by e-mailing email@example.com or by calling (01324) 690217. You can alos enter on line at www.jpsurveys.co.uk/businessawards.
Entries close on Friday, September 26 when initial judging will take place. For those businesses successful in making the shortlist, final judging will take place between October 27 and November 7.
