Falkirk exhibition is ready to talk business

The 2014 Falkirk Business Exhibition is shaping up to be the best yet

The 2014 Falkirk Business Exhibition is shaping up to be the best yet

The number and variety of companies already signed up for this year’s Falkirk Business Exhibition promise to make it one of the busiest yet.

With two weeks until the event, over 50 firms have confirmed they will be there to highlight an array of services, products and advice.

From finance to catering, printing to training, energy efficiency to health and safety, the range of exhibitors has never been greater.

Councillor Dennis Goldie, Falkirk Council’s economic development spokesperson, said “This is always a really popular event and we are very pleased to have such a strong number of exhibitors and a very interesting and useful seminar programme this year.”

Last year saw a record number of businesses pre-registering and the event has grown 40 per cent since its inception in 2008.

For the 2014 exhibition, which takes place in Falkirk Town Hall on Friday, June 6, the range of seminars has been increased to provide something to suit everyone, from business start-ups to long-established operations.

There will be six 30-minute seminars starting at 10.30 a.m. with ‘Digital Falkirk – Social Media’ presented by Evolutio, followed by ‘Business Crime’ from the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, ‘What’s New in Employment Law’ from Business Gateway and then at noon an hour-long ‘4Networking Session’.

One of the successes of last year, 4Networking is a business community that helps get business appointments in a structured way that makes the most of your time.

At 1 p.m. Scottish Enterprise will present ‘Bringing Innovation to Business’ and at 1.30 p.m. it’s Resource Efficient Scotland with ‘Cut Your Costs Through Resource Efficiency’.

Seminar places can be reserved on the day but are on a first come, first served basis.
