Cinema goers were forced to evacuate when
rainwater began pouring through the roof and in to the foyer and screens.

Cineworld at Falkirk’s Central Retail Park had to cancel showings last Friday after its roof couldn’t cope with heavy rainfall.

Will Hoggan had already paid for tickets to ‘The Inbetweeners 2’ when his party was told the film had been cancelled.

Will, head of community sports at Stenhousemuir Football Club, said: “We had only just got our tickets when a tannoy announcement went out saying all films were cancelled.

“Everyone got a refund but the cinema was in
chaos.”

Claire Barron filmed the rain pouring through the roof at the entrance on her mobile phone.

She said: “I’ve never seen anything like it, the water was like a waterfall coming through the roof into the foyer.”

Cineworld reopened the next day and blamed abnormally heavy rainfall for the closure.
