A Falkirk commercial property is in the running for a top award.

The Business Hub in the town’s former general post office is a finalist in the Town Centre Regeneration Project of the Year category in the Scottish Property Awards.

Alistair Campbell, Bellair managing director, who has funded the £2 million project, said: “It’s a great achievement for us to be selected as a finalist.

“Being shortlisted in these prestigious awards highlights the scale of the project and recognises The Falkirk Business Hub is unlike conventional business centres because we’re providing facilities and services to support networking.

“It is also a tribute to its positive role in transforming the look of the town centre.”

The Hub, at the corner of Weir Street and Vicar Street, is designed to cost-effectively meet the specific needs of a wide range of businesses and Bellair hopes to roll out its model of simplified leases throughout Scotland.

In addition to space for 50 businesses, it has a coffee house, shared lounge and a gym.
