A hydraulics company is expanding its successful apprenticeship scheme.

Outreach Ltd, based in Middlefield Industrial Estate in Falkirk, designs and manufactures a range of cranes and handling equipment.

Last year the firm, which employs 60 people, recruited two apprentices for the first time in several years.

This week Outreach announced they will be joined by 16-year-old Darren Ross from Carronshore, who is undertaking a three-year Modern Apprenticeship in Fabrication and Welding.

Managing director Gary Potts said: “It’s been one of the best business decisions we have made in the past year. These young apprentices have proven to be great assets to the company.”
