Hoping to be in the driving seat when a top award is handed out is bus company executive secretary Alison Hall.
The mum-of-two is in the running to be crowned the best in Scotland after making it to the final three ahead of the Annual Conference and Awards for Executive Secretaries and PAs in Scotland.
Alison (46), of Stirling, has worked for over nine years at First Scotland East’s Larbert HQ providing support to senior management and was “surprised and delighted” to have made the shortlist.
She is currently studying for the Chartered Institute of Management award and said her nomination was a confidence booster, adding; “My role at First Scotland East has evolved over the years, but I’ve always worked hard and tried to do my best. We have a fantastic team and it’s a pleasure to work alongside them.”
Alison’s boss Paul McGowan said: “In more than 20 years as a managing director in the bus industry Alison is by far the most efficient, professional and dedicated executive assistant I have worked with.”
The awards take place tomorrow (Friday) in Edinburgh.
