Strathcarron Hospice has welcomed the support of a another major company to help it raise funds in 2015.
The boss of customer experience provider Webhelp UK, which employs over 880 staff in Larbert’s Central Business Park, signed a Charity Partnership certificate when he visited - and presented a cheque for £580 raised from the ‘In Memory’ Christmas Tree tags campaign they were involved with in December.
The company, part of the Webhelp Group which provides innovative customer experience management services to help businesses grow, has dedicated its fundraising efforts to boosting the Fankerton-based hospice’s bank account this year.
Anton Manley, director of strategic accounts, said: “Being able to support Strathcarron Hospice is a real privilege for Webhelp UK. It provides such a quintessential service for families in need of their specialist care free of charge so it is essential businesses and individuals continue to fund their good work. Our Webhelp team in Larbert have various initiatives already planned to raise funds and many of my colleagues have also offered to volunteer at the hospice which is fantastic.”
Jackie Johnston, fundraising manager at the hospice, said: “We’re obviously delighted to welcome Webhelp UK on board. Two thirds of our income stems from voluntary sources so their support will be invaluable to allow us to continue to help families across the district. They are very enthusiastic about being involved which is great.”
It costs Strathcarron Hospice £10,000 a day to provide its full range of services for free to in-patients and at home.
