Parish Church

Last Sunday, Reverend Danny Mathers conducted the morning service as the minister was undertaking Presbytery business. During the service our thoughts and were with Carol Callahan and Gillian McMillan and their families on the passing of their mother Henrietta earlier in the week, and with Sheila Bowen and the family on the sudden loss of her husband, Colin, on Friday. The monthly evening service at 6.30 p.m. was led by the minister, Rev. Murdo Campbell. This Sunday, the minister will conduct worship at 11 a.m. The Sunday Schools (Beginners and Juniors) will meet as usual at 10.50 a.m. but there will be no Triple S, Flaim or Wait for It. As the Schools mid-term break is next week there will be no meeting of the Pre Fives, Girls’ Brigade (all sections) and Boys’ Brigade (all sections). The Guild’s next evening meeting is on Monday, October 13 at 7.30 p.m. Local Historian Ian Scott will speak about the 200 years of the Falkirk Steeple. A warm welcome is extended to everyone to attend. Door duty this Sunday will be by Billy Rankine, Ian Lawson, Malcolm Lewis, Pat Paterson, Ian Huntley and Doug Maden. The crèche will be manned by Lorraine Campbell, Alistair or Dorothy McDonald and Mary Munro.
