Step Forth

Like to walk but not on your own? Want to get fit but don’t know where to start? Why not join our walking group and meet new friends. Walk leaves the Grange centre every Thursday at 10 a.m. We now have a new walk leader for this walk. Summer Playscheme

Grange Centre Summer Playscheme takes place on July 18, 22-24 and 29-31. For ages five–12 years, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Packed lunch required, lots of fun activities planned. Session costs are £4 for centre members or £6 for non members. Advance bookings will only be made with full payment.

Summer Fete

The Haining Care Home’s Summer Fete - Gala day event is on Saturday, August 2, from noon till 4 p.m., which will have Crowning of The King and Queen, Retinue (arriving in limo), Decorated Float and Arch Entertainment throughout the day from Bo’ness Unison Brass Band, singer/guitarist, Mrs Clark’s Dancers, Maypole, stalls include tombola, raffles, tutu stall, homebaking hamper raffles, burger/hot dog, sweet stall, jewellery, nail polish stall, bouncy castle and lots more activities and stalls going on. Parish Church

Last Sunday, the worship at the earlier summer start time of 10.30 a.m. was led by Rev. Murdo Campbell. During the service the baptism took place of Erlin Alexander Gray, son of Claire (nee Falconer) and Kevin Gray. This Sunday, Rev. Danny Mathers will lead the worship again at the earlier time of 10.30 a.m. The service will continue at this time up to and including Sunday, August 17. The Summer Sunday School continues for the following age groups, age three up to P3 and P4 to P7 and will meet at 10.20 a.m. The crèche will continue to be available throughout the summer, again at 10.20 a.m. On Wednesday, July 23, another Alpha course is to commence at 7 p.m. in the small hall, led by Ian Lawson. Door duty this Sunday will be by Jim Dick, Jean Cairns, Charles Maden, Bill Cairns, Liz McKellar and Craig Smith. The crèche will be manned by Lorraine Campbell, Mary Munro and Alison Cassells.
