Parish Church

Last Sunday, Rev. Murdo Campbell led the worship at 11 a.m. assisted by Ian Baillie, Session Clerk, who gave the children and youth address. During the service our thoughts and prayers were with the family and friends of Agnes Wilson, who passed away last week. The congregation also said a sad farewell to Ann and Robert McGregor and wished them every blessing for the future as they are moving down south to be nearer their family. Ann has served in the church choir for over 30 years, in the Girls’ Brigade, Sunday School and Young Wives and Mothers Group at times during the past 49 years. Robert had also given service in the Sunday School. This Sunday, the minister will conduct the worship at 11.a.m. The monthly evening service will take place this Sunday at 6.30 p.m. and will be led by the leaders and members of the Friends of Jesus Group. All articles for the next edition of Bright Lights should be with the editorial team (e-mail:brightlights@brightonschurch.org.uk) by Sunday, February 8. Door duty this Sunday will be by Alan Macfarlane, Alistair McDonald, James Falconer, Charles Lees, Richard Baird and Tom Nimmo. On crèche duty will be Lorraine Campbell, Elspeth McCallum and Mary Munro. The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service will be at the Church Halls this Monday (February 2) between 2-3.45 p.m. and 5.15-7.30 p.m.
