Parish Church

Last Sunday, the worship at the earlier summer start time of 10.30 a.m. was led by the minister, Rev Murdo Campbell. During the service our prayers and thoughts were with Rev. Charles Heriot, former Minister, and the family following the death of his wife Audrey. This Sunday at 10.30 a.m. is Holiday Club Family Service which will be led by the Holiday Club leaders. This is the final service at this earlier time of 10.30 a.m. On Sunday, August 24 the morning service will revert to 11 a.m. The Sunday Schools, Triple S, Flaim and Wait for It will also resume that Sunday at their usual times. Following the Holiday Club service this Sunday will be a barbecue in the manse grounds. In the event of inclement weather it will take place in the halls. Any articles for the next issue of Bright Lights should be submitted by this Sunday, August 17, either by e-mail to brightlights@brightonschurch.org.uk or left in the box in the church vestibule. Door duty this Sunday will be by Billy Rankine, Ian Huntley, Ian Lawson, Pat Paterson and Doug Maden. The creche will be manned by Lorraine Campbell, Lorna Duke and Dorothy McDonald.
