Parish Church

Last Sunday, Rev. Murdo Campbell, led the morning worship at 11 a.m. assisted by Darren Jalland who gave the children’s and youth address. This Sunday the minister will conduct worship at the usual time of 11 a.m. The next Science and Faith meeting will take place this Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Rankine Hall and will continue the theme of evolution, this time focusing on how the subject of human evolution is covered by the Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies in school. The Kirk Session will meet on Tuesday at 7.45 p.m. in the church. There will be a time for prayer for all Elders prior to this meeting in the Small Hall from 7.15 p.m. The Boys’ Brigade Anchor Boys Parents’ Night takes place in the halls at 6.15 p.m. also on Tuesday. The Social Committee is organising a fun quiz night on Friday, May 15 at 7 p.m. Tea, coffee and cake will be served. There will be prizes for the winning team. Door duty this Sunday will be by Jim Dick, Jean Cairns, Bill Cairns, Charles Maden, Liz McKellar and Craig Smith. On crèche duty will be Ray Heeps, Nancy Lees and Dorothy McDonald.
