St Helen’s Parish Church service on Sunday begins at 11 a.m. Prayer group meets from 10.30 to 10.45 a.m. in the Vestry. Sunday School and youth group begin at 10.45 a.m. There is a creche for younger children. Tuesday morning group meets from 10 a.m. for tea or coffee followed by a service at 11 a.m. Nursing homes communion services are today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Wheatlands and 2.45 p.m. at Thornton Gardens. Good Companions meet in the hall on Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m. Soup lunch is served in the hall after the service on March 30. Collection of Easter eggs for the Aberlour Trust on Sunday, April 6.
The staff from Tesco Express in Bonnybridge are having a second hand rose sale to raise funds to buy presents for less well off children in the village at Christmas. There will be face painting for kids, home baking and tea/coffee available and raffle prizes. The sale kicks off at noon in the community centre in Bonnybridge on Saturday until 4 p.m. They intend to have another two or three of these fund raisers throughout the year.
The Regular Meeting of Lodge Dolphin No. 911 held on last Thursday was well attended by members and visitors. One candidate received the Second Degree from the RWM Bro. Peter Neilson and his team of Office-bearers from Lodge Zetland No. 391. Brother Charles Kilpatrick PM Lodge Carron No. 139 replied on behalf of the many visitors. The next meeting will be a Third Degree on Thursday, April 3.
