Bainsford’s Farmer Autocare branch is the first in Scotland to be officially approved as “female friendly” by the UK’s only motoring club for women.
Farmer Autocare has joined forces with FOXY Lady Drivers Club to help women drivers run safer cars for less money. To gain FOXY Lady approval, Farmer Autocare centres had to sign a promise to never overcharge, patronise or sell women anything they do not need.
Sir Tom Farmer, Farmer Autocare group owner, said: “The number of women drivers has increased dramatically since I started my first Auto Repair Service in 1964 and they are increasingly the ones shopping for everyday garage services, within a tight family budget.
“We do particularly well here because we offer the personal service they appreciate as well as gimmick-free low prices for their car tyres, MOT’s, servicing, brakes and exhaust work.
“By being part of the FOXY scheme women know they can trust us to help them.”
