Dawson Centre

On Sunday at 11.30 a.m., a church service by the Grahamston Evangelical Church (Miller Hall) will be held in the Dawson Centre. All welcome.

Braveheart Walks

Devoted Dawson walkers meet every Wednesday outside Carron Co-op main entrance to start their walk at 10.30 a.m., finishing an hour later in Greggs for tea and a cake. Parish Church

On Sunday, the worship in Bainsford Parish Church is at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Sarle conducting the service with the theme being ‘Actions speak louder than words’. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the service. A joint meeting of the Kirk Session of Bainsford Parish Church and St James Parish Church will be held in St James on Tuesday, October 7, at 7 p.m. Last Sunday, the enrolment of the 8th Falkirk Boys’ Brigade and 8th Falkirk Girls’ Brigade and the Harvest Thanksgiving took place. At the start of the service the new Queen’s Colour of the 8th Falkirk Boys’ Brigade was placed on the Communion table followed by readings from Millie, Kayla and Sophie of the Girls’ Brigade. The all-age talk given by Mr Sarle was entitled ‘Baking hope for the community’, followed by the Girls’ Brigade giving readings from Alexa, Nicole and the Harvest Prayer was led by Abbie. during the singing of the hymn ‘We place on the Harvest table’ members of the Boys’ Brigade placed newly baked loaves of bread on the table. This was followed by the Dedication of the Boys’ Brigade and the Girls’ Brigade. Mr Sarle then dedicated the new Queens’ Colour of the Boys’ Brigade stating that the old Queens’ Colour which was damaged when stored in the old North End Hall, will be placed in safekeeping in the sanctuary of Bainsford Parish Church.

Job Club

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Centre, there is a Job Drop in Club which has been in operation for nearly three years with the following facilities; free access to Job Centre web site help with CV, benefits advice and support. Fruit Barra

Fridays, 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Cafe (which is located in the Dawson Centre). Come along and get fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. Healthy start vouchers will be accepted. For any information, contact Michelle on (01324) 501470.

Country Dancing

Take the floor at Bainsford Parish Church hall, Smith Street for Scottish Dancing each Thursday at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.
