Bowling Club

Bainsford Bowling Club is holding a ceilidh on Saturday, November 29, there are still places available. Tickets are priced at £6. There is a sheet up in the clubhouse for the Christmas dance on Saturday, December 20, and for the kids party on December 21. The kids party is for children or grandchildren of full members of the club up to age eight. The party is from noon until 2 p.m.

Braveheart Walks

Devoted Dawson walkers meet every Wednesday outside Carron Co-op main entrance to start their walk at 10.30 a.m, finishing an hour later in Greggs for tea and a cake. Parish Church

On Sunday, the worship in Bainsford Parish Church is at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Sarle conducting the service with the theme being ‘When did we see you, Lord’. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the service.

Job Club

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Centre there is a Job Drop-in Club which has been in operation for nearly three years, with the following facilities: free access to Job Centre website; help with CV, benefits, advice and support available. Fruit Barra

Fridays, 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Cafe (in the Dawson Centre). Fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. Healthy Start Vouchers will be accepted. Contact Michelle on (01324) 501470.

Country Dancing

Take the floor at Bainsford Parish Church Hall, Smith Street for Scottish Country Dancing each Thursday at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.

Senior Citizens

The Carron Connect Partnership have organised a Tea Dance which will be held in the Bainsford Community Centre on Sunday from 1 till 4 p.m. in aid of the SOFIA Project for senior citizens.

Christmas Fayre

Bainsford Day Centre is holding its annual Christmas Fayre/Coffee Morning in the Day Centre, Waverley Street on Friday, November 28 from 9.30 till 11.30 a.m. Admission £1.50 includes tea, coffee and a cake. Stalls: bric-a-brac, cake and candy, tombola, raffles and some ceramics. Donations gladly accepted. For more information call (01324) 501630.
